Pay-Per-Click / Google Adwords

If you have been reading and absorbing everything above about affiliate programs, you probably had the question at least once in your mind “How can I get people to visit the website I'm an affiliate of?”

Good question. There are literally an infinite number of ways to generate traffic online but one of the most common ways, and methods I'm most fond of is Pay-Per-Click advertising. I use this method the most because it is efficient, easy to track, and can get you very targeted traffic.
What is Pay Per Click advertising? It is a system of advertising on the Internet where one places an ad on a webpage or search engine, and pays the website owner or search engine EVERY TIME a viewer clicks on their ad. This is the system I’ve used to send over 20,000 visitors to different websites in 2 weeks.

Here's an example: Did you ever do a search on Google and see the little boxes off to the right with ads in them? Those are called Google Adwords. It is a form of Pay Per Click advertising and is a great way to promote your affiliate partner or website.

Here’s what Google Adwords look like:

Those ads were placed by people who are paying Google to show them. Google charges them every time someone clicks on their ad. The minimum amount Google charges is $.05 per click. You can pay more than $.05 if you want, and in return, Google will place your ad higher up in the search results list, and the more traffic you will probably get.

Another great thing about Google Adwords is the speed which you can get an ad up and running. You could literally have go from scratch to having your ad up in 10-15 minutes of creating it.

How does Google know which ads to show and when? Google bases the showing of the ads off of what the customer typed in the search bar. For example, when someone does a search for a certain word or phrase, called a “keyword”, Google shows Adwords on the right hand side of the screen that relate to the keywords typed. Which ads appear depend on what keywords were entered in the search.

If you do a search for “dogs” on Google, ads related to dogs will appear on the right hand side of the screen. People are paying money to have those ads there and they get charged if the ads get clicked on. Hence, “Pay-Per-Click” advertising.

This is just one way of advertising online. Other methods include: Email Marketing, Blogs, Podcasts, Newsletter advertising, etc.....

The best way to expand your horizons is to stay aware of the world around you and keep coming up with new ideas. See what the latest trends are and where it looks like the world is headed. Try to stay ahead of the curve in your thinking. Realize that the Internet is still in it's infancy and is still open to a wealth of new ideas. And don't be afraid to try new things! If you think an idea is good, don't let anyone tell you it isn't. Go for it and test it yourself. If it flops, then at least you have that knowledge now. I've literally tried dozens of online endeavors until I found out what worked for me. I would have tried much less if I listened to people around me telling me it could not be done. But I would have been much less wealthy too! So keep your own eyes open and keep expanding your knowledge. You determine your own future.
